COURSE TITLE:  INTRODUCTION TO INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS

Course Description:
This course is meant to familiarize Students with the broad field of Industrial Relations.The term 'Industrial Relations' denotes relationships between management and workers in the industry. This Relations also include a vast complex of relationship between the union and the management, management and employers, union and employees and between employees themselves. Core topics include; Concept of Industrial Relations,Importance of Industrial Relations, Importance of Industrial Relations to the actors of Industrial Relations system, Trade Union, Employer's Organizaton, Collective Bargaining, Industrial Conflict, Labour Economics, Labour Management Relations. 

Course Objective:
The aim of this course is to provide a foundation for subsequent courses in Industrial Relations.
  It also aims to provide a general introduction to the study of certain concepts in Industrial Relations.

Topic 9:  Resolution of Industrial Conflicts.
Topic 10: The effects of Industrial Conflicts.
Topic 12: Introduction to Labour Economics.
